a month now. The chair does seem very sturdy. It is a bit taller than I needed but I got used to it. I'm disappointed that for the price that it is simply a power recliner and not a lift chair or at least offers some type of lumbar support adjustment. (Given that there are several lift chairs that are less expensive. ) But I figured that that was the price you paid for getting something that was heavy duty and sturdy. I have to admit I was very disappointed when I read the attached manufacturer's card. The Gardener White website advertised this chair to be good for someone up to 500 lb. The manufacturer's card states a weight limit of 350 lb. Now the weight limit is not an issue for me personally, but it did influence my decision to purchase this chair. I figured with the weight limit of up to 500 lb would make the chair extra, extra sturdy. Now I just feel like I've been deceived. If I had known that the manufacturer suggested weight limit was 350 lb, I probably would have chosen a different chair with more options such as power lift and lumbar support etc. (They also had weight limits of 350 lb. )

If you are a heavy set person who needs a chair that can support up to 500 lb. I'd get it for in writing from Gardner-White that they'll honor any warranty they sell you if you're over 350 lb.
